Next year marks our 20 year anniversary and we’re taking a walk down memory lane.  Our name has been a big part of our identity and has helped keep the momentum going all these years.  We share a name with a lot of great Tivolis and some have even influenced our journey.  There’s Tivoli, Italy which is a beautiful town near Rome. It boasts a lush green landscape full of Roman architecture and stunning waterfalls (with sentences like that, I feel like I should be a travel blogger). It’s there, nestled in those rolling hills, that we decided to start our agency.  We were inspired by the story of how the river Aniene was diverted in 1835 to save the town of Tivoli from floodwaters —  an incredible feat of human engineering and passion that embodies our commitment to serving clients.  It feels like forever ago now.  We started in 1998 handling direct mail creative and fulfillment for First Union which was purchased by Wachovia which was purchased by Wells Fargo.  Wow, time flies!

Then there’s Tivoli Gardens in Denmark.  Tivoli Gardens is the second oldest operating theme park in the world.  It first opened its doors in 1843 and has had quite an interesting history.  They have their own online casino and hosted guests like Walt Disney who visited in the 50’s and 60’s for inspiration.  Their wooden coaster was built in 1914 and still operates today!  It’s all around an inspiring place.  They even inspired our agency to delve deeper into leisure brands (theme parks, family entertainment centers, attractions and more).  We made the switch in 2016 to focus on leisure brands and it’s been a fun journey.  We’ve joined IAAPA and visited dozens of different parks, FECs, dinner shows, cruise lines, destinations, you name it.  It’s been a fun ride!  Here’s to another 20 years!
